~ ARTISTIC DIRECTORS ~
Timo Nuoranne works as a teacher of choral conducting at the church music department of the Sibelius Academy. He is the conductor of The Tampere Philharmonic Choir and The Finnish Organists´ Male Choir.

He studied at the Sibelius Academy and made his final exam in piano in 1989 and in choral conducting in 1993, both with excellent awards. In 1990-91 he studied choral conducting as an exchange student at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm. His teachers there were Eric Ericson and Stefan Sköld.

Timo has also studied singing and is one of the few countertenors in Finland. He has had lessons with Mikael Bellini in Stockholm and with David James and Ashley Stafford in London. He has sung alto solos in for example J.S. Bachs St. John´s Passion several times.
Timo Nuoranne has been the conductor of numerous Finnish choirs. With The Finnish Radio Chamber Choir, which he conducted in 1997-2004 he has made several CD recordings, focusing on music of Einojuhani Rautavaara. The recordings of the ”All-Night Vigil”, ”Works for Mixed Choir” and “True and False Unicorn” have got excellent reviews all over the world.

Timo Nuoranne has had and will have many international tasks. He has worked as a guest conductor with the The Flemish Radio Choir in Belgium, Estonian Philharmonic Choir, The Danish Radio Chamber Choir and RIAS-Kammerchor in Berlin. In 2002-06 he worked as a guest professor at Elisabeth University of Music in Hiroshima, where his main task was to conduct The Elisabeth Singers. In Spring 2006 he worked for three months in Luxembourg and the surrounding countries invited by the choral organisation INECC Luxembourg.

Timo Nuoranne has worked as a teacher in ”Hochschule für Musik und Theater” in Hamburg and Hanover and in the Music Academy of Oslo and Aarhus. He was also the artistic director in Finland at the Estonian-Finnish Song Festival in Tallinn in June 2000. Timo Nuoranne was rewarded as “Choir Conductor of the Year” in Finland in 1999.







The assistant director Sari Oksavuori has graduated as a church organist from Tampere Conservatoire in 2001 and got a Master's degree in music from Sibelius Academy Kuopio Department in 2005. She has studied choral conducting with teachers such as Timo Nuoranne, Jorma Hannikainen, Heikki Liimola, Seppo Murto and Kari Turunen and has a degree in choral conducting. She is also an accomplished cantor-organist.

At present Sari Oksavuori works as an appointed cantor in Ylöjärvi.
